The lacrosse Academy will focus on player development through individual skill training, small-game concepts, and strategies.
Grades 5-8: 6:30-7:45 PM (1 hr 15 min per session)

Grades 9-12: 7:45-9:00 PM

Coaches: Jake Malison and Connor McGuirk, and the coaches Mountain Men Lacrosse
Coach Malison is the head Varsity Coach for the Glens Falls Boys Lacrosse Program, as well as a head coach with the Adirondack Mountain Men Lacrosse Club. Previously, Jake had been coaching under the Glens Falls youth program. He was an assistant lacrosse coach at the Division III level at Utica College after being a four-year varsity letter winner. Jake traveled to Vashon Island, in Puget Sound, after a year of coaching at Utica. He worked with the coaches of the Vashon Lacrosse Club to bring the east coast lacrosse style out to the west coast.
Coach Malison is originally from Cortland, New York. He attended Cortland Junior and Senior High School. He was a two-time All Section III player of the year – junior year as a long stick midfielder and senior year as a goalie. As a goalie, Jake was ranked in the top ten in the state of New York for best save percentage, played in the Exceptional Senior Game for his division, and was honored as MVP for the Cortland Varsity Lacrosse team. Jake was recruited to play Defense at Utica College where he was honored as Defensive MVP at Utica College in ’03, team captain in ‘04, and was the recipient of the inaugural Jake Malison Award in ’05.
Coach McGuirk is currently the assistant varsity coach for the Glens Falls Boys lacrosse program. Connor graduated from Saint Michael’s College in 2019. He played four years on the NCAA Division II lacrosse team at the midfield position.
Coach McGuirk played for Glens Falls and graduated as the school’s career points record holder. He was a two-year team captain and four-time Foothills Conference All-Star. Glens Falls won two Class C Section II titles and a Foothills Conference title during his tenure with the program.

All League, Clinic, Program, and Long Term Rental participants at the Adirondack Sports Complex will need to have a current ADKSC Waiver and Facility Photo ID Card. Both are good for 12 months from the date of purchase. The annual fee is $15.00
No spikes or cleats allowed on the indoor fields. (Sneakers or indoor turf shoes only)
